You wish to help us buying this solar system, become partner with RTER, you can do it by praying , or helping us financialy. By clicking on this button "Donate" you will have the choice to make a one time donation or regular. SOLAR PROJECT FOR THE RADIO We have the project to install a solar system for the Radio to replace our old petrol generator.
We have a huge difficulty to run our radio because of the petrol for the generator. Every day we use 15 liters during the mornings and 15 liters during the evenings. Sometimes because of lack of petrol we can't run the radio for two days, and nobody can listen to the Gospel of Jesus !
Those pictures show our first generator that was destroyed in a bush fire in February 2014. Our actual generator to be fixed, here. Consuption of petrol and motor : Petrol 1.5 liters per hour x 10hours = 15 liters per day. 15 liters x 30 days = 450 liters per month. NB : 20 liters here in Nnyankunde cost $34.00 US
We have a company in Kampala that is the best one to provide a complete solar system kit. They can also setup the system for us here in Nyankunde and adjust all the parameters. SOLAR ENERGY FOR AFRICA Limited www.solarafrica.org phone +256 414 250 125. The budget is $12000 USD for the system to run the radio 10 hours a day, and also to run the laser printer to give free bible studies to the people who ask for them. You can go to Our Projects for more details. There are no small donations, every gift that you give to us will be very welcomed. RTER thanks you. To help us you can also pray for : Peace in our region and mostly in the North-Kivu where the population lives in stress and terror every day because of the rebels from Uganda from ADF-NALU. Some of our speakers are still at university in the North-Kivu. Let God protect them. The 21st December 2014 was our third anniversary of the installation of the radio RTER. We pray that God bless all of our listeners and that the Holy Spirit would powerfully visit every person who listens to our broadcasts on the radio.

RTER PROJECT RTER enlarges its diffusion fields in order to broadcast the Gospel on the airwaves with the aim to reconcile the Congolese people and the populations of neighboring countries that receive our broadcast. The Holy Spirit leads us to expand our vision to spread the Gospel in the DRC. We certainly don’t want to “limit” this action of God in the DR Congo. Today, RTER broadcasts 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening using a generator. In a very clear way, God showed us that He has a much bigger and ambitious plan to spread His Kingdom in the DRC. Although our radio, in our small town of Nyankunde, which has now more than 10,000 inhabitants, offers a broadcast with a range of about 300km, we know that the Holy Spirit will change it to increase. On a practical side this will result in: Africa today suffers consequences of actions of certain malicious people, who in the past have dishonestly used the Gospel for their own needs. RTER won't be stopped by such malfeasance. God is the initiator of this project, it is not us, and according to the words of the Pastor Jean Luc Simbilyabo: "At RTER we are much honored to participate actively”. At first, Pastor Jean Luc Simbilyabo realized that he needed more training in order to be up to the expansion of the Radio. For this purpose, he has been led in September, to attend a training in South Africa organized by the "Africa by Radio" Ministry: http://www.africabyradio.org/ which will take place from 7th September 2015. Since the beginning of this adventure, Jean Luc (RTER) is in peace and faith in this regard. Here are some examples of God's intervention in this project: As a first step, we had accommodation and training costs which are $1000. Spontaneously, friends of Jean-Luc, families, brothers and sisters in Christ of the DR Congo, paid the contribution in order to start the project God has launched. All this was completed a few days before the deadline for registration in South Africa, about a week ago. Registration has been made and paid in full! As a second step, we face the air travel to get to Johannesburg amounting to €750. Here again, we have seen that God is never limited whatsoever. Today remain visas and visa application fees amounting to $250, and $510 for the plane from Bunia to Kinshasa to go to apply for the visa at the South African Embassy.
